The Difference You've Been Looking For...

The ADA philosophy on youth sports training is simple -

Children and Teenagers are not little adults; yet in the sporting and fitness world we expect young athletes and kids to train, compete, think and react like adults.

Too often, young athletes and kids are exposed to training programs that are often well beyond their structural and neurological abilities.  They join programs that tout "come train like a pro."  They have team coaches who run countless conditioning drills and take pride in having their players bent over in exhaustion.  They join bootcamp style fitness training that's based on adult programming.  Or they jump on the early specialization bandwagon and play only one competitive sport all year round at a young age.

What then, is developmentally appropriate and effective?

The Central Nervous System is constantly creating new neural pathways in the motor-control areas of the brain during the formative years of growth. There are sensitive periods within this CNS development that suggest it is imperative that youngsters be introduced to all sorts of stimuli to fuel improvements in coordination (as well as speed, balance, and strength).

Thus it is important to foster overall body awareness, synchronization of movement, and spatial awareness in developing athletes.

At Athlete Development Academy, that's what we do!  We specialize in global athletic development.

For youth athletes it's not about only getting better at your specific sport.  Instead we focus on speed, agility, deceleration, changing direction, balance, coordination, strength, reactivity, mobility, injury prevention, and overall athletic development.

You see, The Better an Athlete Moves, The Better Sport Player That Athlete Will Be regardless if it's on the soccer field, volleyball court, baseball diamond, lacrosse field, basketball court, or just the backyard.

ADA's progressive system of training will enhance your child’s sport performance, general fitness and well-being, as well as provide them with an intellectually stimulating and emotionally supportive environment that will sow the seeds for a lifetime of sporting excellence and health.  Plus, ADA classes are always a ton of fun!  The kid's absolutely love it!

We are dedicated to the quest of enriching young lives through fitness and sport performance training by fostering the development of the physical attributes, character traits, and leadership qualities of our ADA Champions.

quote-tip Because of your training, I now walk into my high school weight room and can notice all the mistakes my friends are making when lifting.  And I just feel like I have such an advantage because I know how I'm supposed to move and train to become faster and stronger.
- Kostas, high school baseball player
quote-tip They had soooo much fun! And, I have to tell you that you brought something out in my son that we don't see.  He has not been very competitive, and usually pretty disinterested in sports.  But, he loved, loved, loved your drills.  It's so great to see him excited about it.  He really got a confidence boost.  They will definitely be back to your Athlete Development Clinic!
- Claudia, parent
quote-tip Corinne taught me the difference between overtraining and training effectively and efficiently.  And that has really made a difference in staying healthy and injury free!  Now with Corinne's help, I am stronger than I have ever been and am working to become the fastest, strongest, and best player I can possibly be.
- Emily, high school soccer player (soon headed to a Div 1 college program)
